Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Powder

I rarely wear powder on my face, in fact I don't think I have since I was a teenager when I used to plaster the stuff all over my face!

I'm always catching up on bloggers websites and checking out beauty posts and came across a few where they recommended using a powder to help with an oily t-zone. I unfortunately do find that by lunchtime my skin does look rather greasy around this area. Now I'm all for dewy skin but there is a difference between looking dewy and looking sweaty so I decided I needed to get myself a powder!

I work close to a Superdrugs Store so popped in to take a look at what they had. There are so many to choose from and being as I was new to this I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that I wasn't sure would work so I opted for this Rimmel Pressed Powder which cost just £3.99. I decided to go for the transparent shade as I didn't need it for colour.

It doesn't come with an applicator of any sort so I have been using a blusher brush to apply this and so far so good. At first I used it all over my face and really wasn't keen on the feel of it on my skin as it made my face feel tight and caked so I simply now brush a little over my t-zone each morning after applying my foundation and I'm then ready to take on the sweaty tube journey into work!

This powder promises to give you up to 5 hours shine control using natural minerals. I actually ut this to the test and ca confirm that after wering the powder for 6 hours my face was oil free.  It also claims to help minimise pores which I can't say I've particularly noticed but I am rather impressed with the way it's kept my skin non-greasy!

I'm really pleased I didn't buy an expensive powder straight out as I'm happy with this one for the moment. I may look into a few others eventually but for now....I'll stick to my Rimmel :)

Do you use powder on your face? What do you recommend? x
